Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7/25/2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information CodeXGround collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little data as possible.

2. Data Stored in Your Browser

CodeXGround saves your last written code, selected language, and theme preference in your browser's Local Storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly send it for AI review.

3. AI Review Requests

When you use features such as "Check Issues" or "Improve", the code you submit is sent to a third-party AI service through our AI gateway to generate feedback and suggestions. Only the information required to process your request is transmitted. Please do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information (such as passwords, API keys, private credentials, financial information, or personal data) in the code or prompts you submit for AI review. AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes only and may contain mistakes, incomplete information, or inaccurate suggestions. You should review and verify all AI-generated output before relying on it in production or other important situations.

4. Cookies

The Service does not use tracking cookies. We rely only on Local Storage for saving your preferences.

5. Third-Party Services

CodeXGround uses third-party services to provide certain features. Python execution is powered by Pyodide, which is loaded from a public CDN. AI features are provided through third-party AI service providers. These services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Your Choices

You can clear your saved code, language, and theme at any time by clearing your browser's Local Storage for this site.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
